Treat Box Tutorial

Hi there!

It's Wednesday and that means it is time for a new Tutorial for you!  Today we will be making this cute treat box,  Now mine is Easter themed but of course you can make these for any occasion or party.

Start with an 8.5" x 11" piece of card stock.  Along the 11" side, score at the 4.5" and 6.5" marks.
Along the 8.5" side, score at the 2" and 6.5" marks.
From the intersection at each corner, score from this corner on a diagonal to the 4 3/8" mark.
Now crease along all your score lines and you should end up with something resembling this.
Now we are going to adhere this together.  I like to use score tape, but you can use whatever suits you. Fold the two 2" sides in towards the centre.  Add adhesive outside of the score lines at the centre.  You can see the tape will go in the area that you have formed a triangle.  Now adhere this section to the part on the other side of the diagonal score line.
It should look like this.
Next adhere the 2 inch flaps down at the top of the paper, repeat for other side.

Now you should have something that looks like this.

Adhere a 4.25" x 4.25" piece of patterned paper to what will be the front of your treat box.
Using a coordinating piece of patterned paper 4.5" wide and 5.5" long.  Corner round the two corners on the short side.

Now wrap this piece around the back of the box.
With the flap coming up and over tot he front.

Now punch a couple of holes on the flap,
Transfer the alignment of the holes onto the front of the box.
  And punch them out too.

Decorate up the front and add a ribbon through the holes.

And you have a sweet little treat box, that can be used for just about any occasion!

Thanks for visiting!
